Reckless is the new studio album by American country music singer, songwriter, and record producer Martina McBride which is expected to release via itunes by this friday April 29th 2016 Digitally. The artist called on talented producers Nathan Chapman and Dann Huff to work on her new disc, which she recorded at Nashville’s iconic Blackbird Studio.
She said “It is really different,” the four-time CMA female vocalist of the year tells Billboard about “Reckless.” “I think it has a really fresh sound. Vocally, I feel that it’s very reminiscent of things I’ve done in the past.”
McBride released the music video for “Reckless” which has the vocalist tearing down old wallpaper to reveal words that hinder encouragement.
The trio are also putting the finishing touches on the new album, set for release later this year. The creative process is something that the country star says she loves now as much as she did 20 years ago — and some of the music on the new album might have a familiar feel. I can’t get enough of it. She’s singing everything I’m thinking. Title track “Reckless” is my go to song. It’s the first thing I play every day. You don’t want this album. You need this album. This is the sound track of your life.
A review “I never write reviews, especially lately about country music, but as always Martina deserves many accolades for this album! One of my favorite albums of all time is “Waking up Laughing” from Mrs. McBride and this new album has that same style and feel while still feeling new and fresh! So far great story telling along with a great melody and powerful vocals! To tell the honest truth this has been the first time I’ve been this excited to by an album in FOREVER! The way country music has been lately I was starting to think I’d NEVER find a good new album or song again! Can’t wait to hear the entire album! Thanks Martin
